Preparing for a Magical Rebirth

April 28, 2010

The Full Moon in Scorpio brings a magical time of regeneration and rebirth. As we go through the great cosmic shift of 2010-2012, much in our lives is dying in order to be reborn. We are healing and regenerating, according to ancient cycles of the stars, gods, and humans.

In the Buddhist tradition, the Full Moon in Scorpio represents Wesak - a time of celebrating the Buddha’s enlightenment. We can use the symbolism of Wesak to help us understand the significance of the full moon phase - with Sun in Taurus and Moon in Scorpio.

Ruled by lovely Venus, Taurus is the “earthiest” of the earth signs, while Scorpio is the sign of death, regeneration and rebirth. Seeing how the unmanifest comes into existence in the physical world and then disappears back into the unmanifest is key to enlightened consciousness. It liberates us from errors in our thinking that lead to needless stress and suffering.

All that’s churning below the radar comes to the surface. It’s a lunar peak when buried emotions literally take on a life of their own. This sets the stage for intense change and opens the door to healing at the deepest level. The Full Moon in Scorpio can realign us to the essence of things. It’s a hopeful moon for those ready to face fears, and welcome big and total change.

This full moon illuminates what lies in the subconscious — motivations, desires, longings and aspirations. If they’ve been denied, these primal energies come out with a ferocious roar.
This full moon is an invitation to experience - not control - your own fathomless depths, allowing you to live with more integrity, because you’ve dared to venture into your own darkness. From out of the hidden dark, you get a glimpse of the soul’s true face this full moon. If you’ve been stagnating and lost, here’s a chance to release what’s dead, dying or diseased. In Scorpio, we turn the eye inward and grow surly or intense. And there’s a knowing that the answer is not simple. This kind of change happens at the soul level, the kind that comes from facing those core fears.
According to this full moon, the relief, answer, solution begins within an examination of self. This may entail changing the way we process information and interact with others, or it may be a change in our own internal dialogue. There is, after all, power within intent and with words, spoken or otherwise.
So where is it that you are ready and willing to experience intense change? ~ It’s time now - to step forward and face fear in the face.

Stepping into Boldness

Stepping into Boldness
Becoming the Heroine of Your Own Life

We’re standing in the energy of a New Moon in Aries - the most vibrant and inspirational of all new moons. This moon phase is always about new beginnings. And with the sun and moon both in Aries, it’s an ideal time to connect the emotions of your heart with the mental thoughts and ideas swirling around in your head. This is the only way you can get wholeheartedly behind whatever emotional changes or projects take root at this time.

During a new moon phase, it is important to plant our “dream” seeds, nurture them carefully and watch them grow.

But before you do this, you need a vision - which is an idea. And you need a plan - which is a realistic way of moving towards your cherished goal. Then you need patience - which isn’t the same as doing nothing. It’s all about helping along what wants to happen.

This is one of the most opportune times to push ahead with plans and projects that are most important to you personally, and not become distracted by what is going on around you.

Since this particular Aries New Moon is in easy aspect to Neptune, being creative or being spiritual will be all the more important. Listen to that inner voice - and you will know which dream is being awakened from its slumbers. And remember the old saying, “The dreamers of the day act with their eyes open and make it happen.”

Think about that “something” that’s been itching to forge ahead. Up until now, you haven’t had the courage to release it for fear of failure or rejection. It’s time now, to take a risk.

As creativity author Julia Cameron says, “Take the leap and trust that the net will be there.”

This New Moon in Aries is calling for you to take a risk. It’s giving you the energy and the momentum to be the heroine of your own journey.

But only you can do it for you. No one else can.

You’ve got two choices during this new moon energy. You can stay still and remain where you are - and continue to wonder, “What if?” ~ Or you can be bold - and take the bull by the horns (so to speak) and take the risk.

What’s the worst case scenario? Perhaps you find out that your plan needs a bit of tweaking in order to get the results you want. Or maybe your idea is missing an ingredient of some kind.

But you’ll never know if you don’t try.

So what do you say? ~ Ready to take the leap and be the heroine of your own journey?

This is the moment you’ve been waiting for!
